| Beginning Organizer Basic Equipment List |
Accept the fact that you are never going to be completely prepared. Every situation, home, office, cubby, closet is completely different. If you cover basic health, safety, cleaning and sorting equipment, you've got it covered! Anything else, you may have to dash to get. Beware the ambush! I have encountered: spiders, dogs, cats, mice, beetles, mosquitoes, poison ivy, fiberglass insulation, lots of dust, animal feces, urine and vomit, extreme heat, extreme cold, broken glass, nails, sharp metal, nails, flat tires, mold of all kinds. You are entering a war zone and you never know what you may encounter. Think and observe carefully before you dive in. I have even encountered homes where the air was so filled with odor or debris that I was physically ill afterward. Don't assume you're only going to line up jelly jars in the pantry so their labels face outward. You may end up in some all-out dump situations and need to be ready.
